NIGERIAN MUSIC: May7ven (pronounced may seven) Singer-song writer, dancer and producer already dubbed Queen of funked-up AFRnB is back with a second serving from her album. Her hot new single “Take off my clothes” is an infectious, sexy, breathy track that rides on a mid-tempo supersonic instrumental proving her summer anthem Hands up was not just a one off!

Her performance skills have been said to have Missy Elliot jumping out of her seat, while her vocals, songwriting and entrepreneurial ambitions have caught the attention of some of the biggest names in the industry. This was highlighted by her collaboration and performances for the biggest family names in the history music, The Jacksons!
Her debut single and video enjoyed several weeks in the top spot of MTV Base UK, Europe and Africa and it appeared on various international charts including Music Weeklys Top 20 Charts, World DJ Charts and most notably holding the No.3 Top Club RnB track summer 08.

She who wrote her first song Change at the age of 8 and was compelled to be a prodigy after watching a church drummer and was immediately able to mimic the drum patterns like a true genius. The Choir Master, impressed with her musical ability and her soprano voice made her the lead singer of her choir.
By the tender age of 15 May7ven signed a management deal and had already worked with the likes of accomplished soul sensation Wayne Marshall, US RnB diva Adina Howard, Horace Brown and UKs no.1 female rapper Phoebe1. Working with some of the industries veterans equipped the confident multi talented singer, song writer & executive producer May7ven – to bring her amazing vocal abilities to the international market.
Inspired by Motown, Michael Jackson, 80s break dance & disco eras, May7vens talents were spotted early on by a number of music industry executives which allowed her to experience the music industry before homing in on her REAL AMBITIONS, SOUND and facilitating the process of becoming a recording artist. During her journey May travelled the world and started on her humble road to becoming an entrepreneur by selling her Car & home to spend some time in LA where she met executives from Universal Music Group whom opened her eyes to endless possibilities. Armed with her new found confidence May returned to the UK, built a recording studio and began writing, producing and supporting other artists and subsequently working on her new music.

May7ven started her own Music Publishing company M7 Publishing to bring about the process of establishing a label and a recording career. She later roped in the musical talents of Step – ex-member and producer of 90s boy band Nine Yards. Here the music talent of the two young creatives entwined created the sound they call Funked-up RnB Pop which is set to explode on the UK and international music scene.
May7ven has kicked started 2009 by landing a 18 city tour in Africa supported by one of Africas largest mobile communications & oil company Global com. She has also confirmed support concerts with the likes of Pussycat Dolls, TI, 9nice plus much more across African and Europe in 2009 and plans to unleash her 2nd single and debut album to the world in 2009 are already underway.
